This is a photo the lake that runs along my aunt's neighborhood. I decided to take this picture because I like small bodies of water and I felt having the sunset in the background would give the picture a calming feel. I wanted a calm mood to be portrayed because that's how I feel when I visit the lake in the summer time. I also too a picture of the mouth of the lake to show that good things don't last forever.
This a photo I took of the pond in my neighborhood. I chose this location because like I said before, I like small bodies of water and I visit this pond to clear my mind a lot. The difficulty I had with taking this picture was finding an angle that wouldn't include the surrounding houses in the background.
This is a photo of my neighborhoods nature trail. I chose this location because I used to go on this trail to ride my bike when I was younger with my friends. It was always fun racing down the trail and brushing against the cattails that extended into the path. I wanted to portray the feeling of not having to focus on big things at such a young age which is why I focused the camera on the grass and trees in the background instead of the cattail that's closer.
This is a photo of the trees behind my cousin's house. I chose this location because I've always been fascinated with the hieght of the trees. Me and my cousins would try to try to climb these trees and see who could make it to the top. I wanted to portray the saying, "the sky is the limit" because of how it looks like the trees are reaching towards the sky.
This is a photo of a field by my house. I chose this location because large fields just hold lot of mystery to me. I don't know it's just the feeling of not knowing what you can come across is kind of interesting. I wanted to portray a subtle but eerie feeling because empty fields are always in scary movies where the unknown happens
